History of Our Group
Everyone needs a pal. That's why in 2002 we founded Pets and
Pals, a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group. Too many cats and dogs are still being euthanized in Contra Costa County
animal shelts due to overpopulation, irresponsible ownership and lack of funds. Many animals don't get adopted because
they are scared, are still young but not has attractive as tiny kittens and puppies, or have minor health conditions that
can be easily treated. Pets and Pals gives all shelter cats a second chance at a good life regardless of age or appearance.

Our Goal
We are working toward a society in which every animal is treated like a
family member and not like a disposable possession. Pets and Pals wants to end euthanasia of companion animals in Contra
Costa County and to see animals being treated with dignity and respect.
