Despite ongoing efforts of rescue groups, cat overpopulation is still a serious problem in Contra Costa County.
At the county's shelters (Martinez & Pinole) roughly 3000 cats are still euthanized each year.
We only rescue cats and kittens from death row from the Martinez and Pinole shelters but many more are left behind. However, with
your help we can even make more od a difference. Our goal is to help Contra Costa County a no-kill county, a place
where every animal has a caring home.
